Kenny started in the rear this week after winning the race last week and came up through the pack and finished 2nd in the heat and won his feature! And for the 2nd time they DQ'ed him, saying his right rear tire was too wide. Yet it wasn't too wide last week after we checked everything and nothing has been done to the car since the first race. Seems to me like someone has a problem with us. But for us, we just laugh it off! We're now doing the official "DQ" counter!! 3 wins and 2 DQ's so far. Kenny and the entire Eckert Racing team has had a very emotional week. But with all the ups and downs, it all came together for young Kenny, as he took his first checkered flag Saturday night at West End Speedway. It all started the previous week, he won his ver first heat and was excited for the feature. He told us, "Tonight is my lucky night, the date's the 24th, the same number as my car. I just know it's going to be my night!" As they took the stage for the feature, I think I was the most nervous. I can't stand watching either of my Kenny's race.
